Terms of use of the Financial well-being self-assessment tool
The Financial well-being self-assessment tool (hereinafter: Tool; https://fwb.skytte.ut.ee/) is an online tool for assessing one's financial well-being elements (pleasure, freedom and security), getting a holistic understanding of the topics that contribute to these, and for setting goals for the future if needed. It is based on findings from a 3-year academic research on the human-centred approach to financial well-being, conducted in partnership between the University of Tartu, Johan Skytte institute of political studies and the ERSTE Foundation. These terms describe the conditions for using the Tool and explains how the Johan Skytte institute of political studies of the University of Tartu processes the personal data of its users and all other data subjects in connection with the use of the Tool. The data is located in the infrastructure of the University of Tartu.

What data is collected and why?
The Tool is intended to be used for assessing the elements of financial well-being. The user is anyone using the Tool. There are no access limitations, and the users are not required to create an account. The main purpose of the Tool is to enable the user to self-assess financial well-being and receive tips for improving it. The user is not asked to create an account. If the user wishes to receive the outcomes of the self-assessment on his / her e-mail address and / or if the user would like to link previous responses to future assessments, the e-mail address can be entered by the user. If the user decides to use the Tool again and has entered the e-mail address, then the address is used for linking the responses from both occasions. No other communication besides the results from the usage of the Tool will be sent to that address.
The University of Tartu collects data from all responses to each of the elements, topics and stages of the Tool merely for academic purposes. Regular Google Analytics set-up is used, and it implements the cookie setup dialog for users where they can choose if they want analytical cookies enabled. By default, there are only the "Required" functional cookies.
The proprietary copyrights of the Tool belong to the University of Tartu.
To whom is the data transmitted?
Personal data will only be transferred to third parties in the event of a legal obligation and on the basis of an official formal notice.
Transfer of personal data outside the European Union
The personal data processed will not be transferred outside the European Union or the European Economic Area (EEA) through the Tool.
Data security
The Tool's technical solution protects your data from unauthorized access, modification, disclosure, removal or infringement.
What rights do you have and how can you exercise your rights?
In accordance with applicable data protection law, you have the right to:
- Request access to your personal information.
- Request the deletion of your personal data.
- Request the withdrawal of your consent to the processing of your personal data.
